District 7 Planning Council represents the neighborhoods of East Midway, Frogtown, Mt Airy, and Capitol Heights in Saint Paul, Minnesota. (Lexington-35E, University Ave to the Burlington-Northern Santa Fe Railroad Tracks). Our role is to serve as a liaison between residents and the city government, most notably, the police, Planning and Economic Development, and Parks and Recreation. Planning councils are also dedicated to the goal of improving the quality of life in their jurisdictions through block club organizing, organizing meetings on relevant city and local concerns and changes, and serving as a conduit to improving civic engagement among the residents of the district. |
